There is no contact form, because a form here would mean collecting and storing what you type on a server — which is exactly what the rest of the site is built to avoid. Mail goes straight to a mailbox.

What to write about

Something is wrong

A time, offset, daylight-saving date or sunrise that does not match what you expect. Include the city and what you saw — correctness reports come first.

A tool you wish existed

Tell us the problem rather than the feature. The gap you are working around is usually the thing worth building.

City or data corrections

A missing city, a wrong region, or a place assigned to the wrong time zone. Upstream fixes to GeoNames are welcome too.

Press and licensing

Questions about using the site's output, embedding a tool, or writing about the project.

Before you write about a wrong time

Two checks resolve most reports quickly. First, confirm your own device clock is right — every reading here is computed against it, so a device that is a minute out makes the whole site a minute out. Turning on automatic network time fixes that.

Second, check that your browser and operating system are up to date. Time zone rules come from the IANA database that ships with them, and governments change those rules several times a year. A device that has not been updated in a while can be genuinely wrong about a country that recently changed its daylight-saving policy.

If both are fine and the time still looks wrong, please do write — that is a real bug and worth fixing.

Questions & answers

How do I report a time that looks wrong?
Email contact@worldclock.tools with the city or time zone, what the site showed, what you expected, and roughly when you saw it. Most reports of this kind turn out to be either a genuine bug or an out-of-date time zone database on the device, and both are worth knowing about.
Can I suggest a tool?
Yes, and suggestions are genuinely useful. Describe the problem you are trying to solve rather than the interface you imagine — the underlying need is usually the more interesting half.
How quickly will I get a reply?
This is a small project, so replies usually take a few days. Bug reports affecting correctness are looked at first.
