Terms of Use
Plain terms for a free site: use the tools freely, do not rely on them for anything where being an hour wrong would be dangerous, and credit the data sources if you build on them.

Acceptance
By using worldclock.tools you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. They apply to every page and tool on the domain.
Use of the site
Every tool is free to use, for personal and commercial purposes alike, with no account and no licence fee. You may use the results the tools produce — a converted time, a countdown link, an exported calendar file — however you wish.
You agree not to:
- place automated load on the site that degrades it for others, including scraping the city search endpoint at high volume;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its hosting, or any connected system;
- republish the site's pages wholesale as your own, or present them as the work of someone else;
- use the site in a way that breaks the law where you are.
If you want the underlying city data in bulk, take it from GeoNames directly rather than scraping it from here — it is the original source, it is freely available, and it will be more current.
Accuracy and no warranty
The site is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or uninterrupted availability.
Real care goes into correctness, but there are limits worth stating plainly. All times are computed against your own device clock: if it is wrong, so is everything shown here. Time zone rules come from the IANA database in your browser, so a device that has not been updated may be wrong about a country that has recently changed its rules. Governments change daylight-saving policy with little notice. Sunrise, sunset and astronomical figures are computed for sea level and a flat horizon and are intended for planning, not navigation. Market hours reflect regular sessions and do not account for holidays or half-days.
Not for safety-critical or legal use
Do not rely on this site as the authoritative source for anything where an error in time would be dangerous or legally consequential. That includes aviation, maritime and rail operations, medical treatment and dosing, emergency response, legal and court deadlines, financial settlement, and any regulated filing.
For those purposes, use the official source for the domain in question — an aviation authority, an exchange's own calendar, a court's published rules, or a certified time service.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, worldclock.tools and those who build it are not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of, or inability to use, the site — including missed meetings, missed deadlines, missed flights, or any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Availability
The site is offered without any uptime commitment. It may be changed, interrupted or withdrawn at any time, and individual tools may be altered or removed without notice. Because the tools compute in your browser, a loaded page generally keeps working even if the site itself becomes unreachable.
Intellectual property and attribution
The site's design, written content and code are the property of their authors. The data the tools are built on comes from third parties and carries its own terms:
- City data from GeoNames, used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence.
- Time zone rulesfrom the IANA Time Zone Database, which is in the public domain, by way of your browser's built-in support.
- Icons from Iconify and the open icon sets it distributes, under their respective licences.
If you build on this site's output in a published work, credit the original data sources rather than this site.
External links
Some pages link to third-party sites. Those are provided for reference and are not endorsements; we are not responsible for their content, accuracy or privacy practices.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. The current version is always the one on this page, with its date shown at the top. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
