• No advertising, and nothing is sold or shared with brokers.
• Google Analytics measures page views and sets its own cookies. Any content blocker stops it, and the site works identically without it.

• Clocks, conversions and timers are computed in your browser, not on a server. Their inputs are never transmitted.
• Preferences and saved boards live in your browser's local storage and stay on your device.
• Three kinds of network request exist: city search to this site, icon loading from the Iconify CDN, and Google Analytics. All three are described below.

Every clock, time zone conversion, countdown, timer and astronomical calculation on this site is performed locally by your browser, using your device clock and the IANA time zone database that ships inside your browser and operating system. The values you enter into a converter, a meeting planner or a calendar export are processed in the page and are never sent anywhere.

Your browser's reported time zone (for example Europe/Madrid) is read so that clocks can show offsets relative to you. This is a time zone, not a location, it is read through a standard browser interface that requires no permission, and it is used only inside the page. It is not transmitted and not stored.

Some tools remember your choices between visits — the cities on your world clock board, whether you prefer analog or digital, and similar settings. These are written to your browser's local storage, which is a per-device, per-browser store that is never automatically sent to a server.

You can clear it at any time through your browser's settings for site data. Doing so resets those preferences and nothing else; no copy exists anywhere for us to delete.

City search.Typing into a city search box sends the characters you typed to this site's own search endpoint, which searches the full city dataset and returns matches. The request contains the search text and nothing else — no identifier, no cookie, no profile. As with any web request, the server necessarily receives your IP address in order to reply.

Icons. Interface icons are loaded from the Iconify CDN (api.iconify.design). This is a third party, and like any CDN it can see your IP address and the fact that a request came from this site. It receives nothing about what you enter into any tool. Iconify publishes its own privacy terms.

Analytics. The site loads Google Analytics 4 (property G-6FQ4LFF3E5) from googletagmanager.com. It records which pages are viewed, roughly where in the world the visit came from, and what kind of device and browser was used. It writes cookies beginning _ga so a returning visit is counted as the same one rather than two. It is used to see which tools are worth continuing to build, and for nothing else: no advertising, no remarketing, no data sold or shared with brokers, and no Google Signals. Google acts as a processor and necessarily receives your IP address; Google states that it discards it after using it to derive an approximate location. It never receives anything you enter into a tool.

Blocking the analytics. Any content blocker or browser tracking protection that blocks googletagmanager.comstops it entirely, as does Google's own opt-out add-on. Nothing on the site depends on it, so every tool behaves exactly the same either way.

Fonts.Web fonts are served from this site's own domain — they are downloaded at build time rather than fetched from Google Fonts, so no request goes to a font provider when you visit.

The hosting provider that serves this site keeps standard access logs, as effectively all web hosting does. These typically record IP address, the page requested, a timestamp and a user-agent string, and exist for security and reliability purposes. They are not used to build any profile, are not combined with anything else, and are not shared or sold.

No names, email addresses, phone numbers or payment details are collected by the site, because nothing here asks for them. If you email contact@worldclock.tools, that message is held in an ordinary mailbox for as long as needed to deal with it, and is used for nothing else.

The contents of any tool — the times you convert, the cities you add, the events you count down to, the details you put into a calendar export — are never transmitted or retained.

The site is suitable for general audiences and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

Data protection law, including the GDPR, gives you rights of access, correction, erasure and portability over personal data held about you. This site holds no account, contact or profile data of its own — only transient hosting logs and the aggregate page-view counts described above, neither of which is tied to an identity it could look you up by. To exercise a right against the analytics data specifically, blocking the script prevents its collection, and Google's own controls cover what it already holds. For anything else, or to raise a concern, write to contact@worldclock.tools.

If this policy changes — for instance if a new data source or provider is introduced — the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top of the page. Material changes will be described rather than quietly folded in.

Does worldclock.tools use cookies?

Yes, one set: Google Analytics writes its own cookies (names beginning _ga) to count returning visits. No advertising cookies, no session cookies and no account cookies are set. Separately, the site uses your browser's local storage to remember things like your saved city board — that data stays on your device and is never transmitted.

How do I opt out of the analytics?

Any content blocker, browser tracking protection, or a Do Not Track setting that blocks googletagmanager.com will stop it, and the site works identically without it. Blocking it does not degrade any tool, because no tool depends on it.

Do you track my location?

No. The site never calls the browser's geolocation API, so you will never see a location permission prompt. Your time zone — not your location — is read from your browser so clocks can show offsets relative to you, and that value is used only inside the page.

Is any data sent to a server?

Three things, none of them the contents of a tool. City search sends the letters you typed to this site's own search endpoint so it can search the full 34,000-city dataset. Icons load from the Iconify CDN, which sees your IP address as any CDN would. Google Analytics records that a page was viewed. What you enter into a converter, planner, timer or calendar export is never among them.
